Topic: Stress
- Luke begins by comparing stress to the Force from Star Wars. Major Monocle brings his complete wisdom to the topic by expressing his solution to stress… Just don’t give a !@*^.
- Oktober talks about how she used to be pretty expressive about her stress, but know she does more bottling up. And like most people, her #1 stressor is money.
- Luke talks about how he deals with stress, mainly through consumption. Drinking and eating just satisfies a part of his brain and gives him a sense of being able to control something.
- Major Monocles discusses another way to relieve his stress, get on the motorbike and ride to freedom. But Nabbit points out that even that solution can be problematic.
- Nabbit, at first, states that Oktober doesn’t have any stress relieving hobbies, but then comes to realize that her chicken ranching is very comforting to her. The panelists suspect she may start living in the coop.
- Nabbit gets through his stressful times with cartoony, violent video games. This leads to a quick conversation about Sonic the Hedgehog and the soothing music of Final Fantasy.
- Luke Challenges everyone to come up with a saying that will calm someone who is stressed out. Oktober comes up with “The only thing that is constant… is change.” Luke comes up with this mantra… “I trust myself to make the right decision.“
Game: Drink It Or Sink It Challenge
This one needs to start off with a correction. Luke must have hit the Tequila a bit hard before making this one, because he forgot an ingredient. So the recipe that is posted is the way it is supposed to be made. The panelists had a slightly more “Beer-y” one. Yes you read that right. This is a Beer-Tail. Called the Playa Calmante. Nabbit felt the flavors didn’t meld quite right. Although, both he and Major Monocle admitted to not liking beer. Oktober liked it because of the tartness of the citrus fruits, which she said made it taste something like a shandy. Try it out and let us know what you think…the recipe is the post before these notes.
